The critical theme found in the reading materials.

From the readings, the central theme is how societal challenges and stereotyping can be controlled by the use of work from artists. To successfully address the global challenges affecting the society, the artist needs to use their voices, epistemologies. Black Kirby represents a rhetorical tool that persuades the reader to understand the social injustices that are present in the society (8. Critical Afrofuturism: A case study in visual rhetoric, sequential art, and Post-apocalyptic Black identity, 2019). The focus of ensuring that members of society realizes the challenges and come up with a better decision that can change how society stereotypes blacks. There is the use of comic in the presentation to allow the readers to have an understanding of what happens in real life which makes it easier for the actor to pass the message through visualizations.

The use of specific culture such as hip hop to pass the message on the challenges facing the society and the integration of the hip hop as a tool of conveying the paintings and work of the artist allows the audience to understand the message of the work being displayed. When performing artist uses different types of voice intonation to differentiate the tempo of the news being passed across. The variation in the voice in the presentation where the artist used allow intonation at the end of the performance, and the beginning shows the tempo of the performance hence allowing the audience to be on the same page with the artist knowing precisely the change in the presentation. It is good to persuade the audience to accept the argument in the production where authors are allowed to join the presenter in singing and performing some parts. Giving the audience time to join the performance makes them feel part of the work. Therefore, the artwork is the best medium that can be used by the artist to campaign against social injustices that happen within society. Different rhetorical tools need to be applied to ensure that the audience accepts the message being passed across.
