Class assignment part one
The financial success or failure of an organization lies in the decision made by the managers. Managers must adapt, meet challenges, and place themselves on a scale of personal growth while dealing with a wide range of roles and responsibilities. The motel organization is among the organizations that require their managers to be careful while performing their duties. The Motel, also known as Motor Inn, is just an organization providing travelers with lodgings and parking facilities. It had designed for people traveling with automobiles such as tourists with convenient parking spaces provided. When the owner calls requiring me to increase or else charge a higher rate, I could have objected as a Motel manager. I could inform the owner that it is not right as it will lead to royal companies’ loss. Besides, our organization is making a good profit with the current charge rates. Charging any other amount than that our customers are used to will make them move to other Motel lodges. I am confident that it is not right, please boss, withdraw the instructions, and charge the average rates that our customers are used to.
Like any other organization, Motel has several departments and workers. There is the office of clerk where payments are being made. The clerk’s position is susceptible and requires carefulness to avoid spoiling the reputation of the Motel. In our Motel, the clerk has resigned due to increased disagreements with the owner. She later sues the owner to get her job back. As a member during this trial, I could vote yes; the desk clerk must get her job back. This is because she broke the law without knowing; she only did no treat people right. I believe she was supposed to be warned and allowed to rectify her mistakes as the employment rules require. Besides, her mistake did not have significant adverse effects on the Motel. Once the jury decides “yes” she should get her job back, I propose she be given 24 dollars to cater to the expenses incurred while forced to resign. I think this amount is fair and accurate, given the circumstances that she was not working for quite some time, and she was the worker of the Motel.
Class assignment part two
The best way to deal with this issue is to find another suitable place to set the three projects. Customers are the backbone of the business; acquiring the land that belongs to Cree and Inuit by force will, in the first place, destroy the reputation of the organization. Although the three projects’ establishment will create job opportunities for millions of people, it will have many adverse effects. First, it will harm Cree and Inuit tribes who do not want to leave the region to continue embracing their culture. Despite these tribe’s lack of title deeds for the land, they have gone there for more than 4500 years, so definitely, the land belongs to them. Additionally, these tribes do not want money to move out of the region; they want to stay. There is the unavailability of land in Canada, where the two tribes will transfer after they have sold their land as all lands are occupied. They can only choose to move further east into northern Newfoundland or further west into northern Ontario. However, these moves will disrupt the people who already stay there. Tribal wars can quickly arise. The best solution is to set the three projects in another place within Canada to avoid all these challenges. It will be convenient and still create more job opportunities for people.
