It is important to inform the community when a crisis occurs. There are many reasons why they should be informed:

1. It protects the people during the crisis.
2. Trust is built among the people.
3. There is no spread of misinformation since they already have the information.

The fourth reason is to prevent panic among them and they also feel secure. The other reason for aligning people with the crisis management strategy and they work towards the same goals.

Preparedness and planning of emergency is a local responsibility. For an emergency response action to be taken there must be a strong and reliable communication linkage to warning and reports from forecast centers. During or immediately the disaster occurs, response phase takes place. In response space mobilization of services necessary and response to the disaster are covered.
