Ironically, when we define ethics, it refers to specific standards which need to be followed in every field of life. Ethical standards are necessary for our personal and professional life. As far as personal life is considered, we deal with people in respect with certain situations we deal in everyday life. Personal life ethics matters a lot because we need to deal with and respect our beloved relations throughout our lives. On the other hand, professional life ethics related to our interactions, along with business dealings in our professional life effectively and efficiently. To understand the ethical dilemma. It needs to consider a case related to my professional life (Kapur, 2018). The case is related to those days when I was performing my responsibilities as a leader in ABC organization in New York. Based on this case, there were lots of changes happened to my professional life; most importantly, I linked my leadership skills enclosed in the ethical standards. Based on these ethical standards, I started working with my team effectively and efficiently. It helped me a lot in knowing my team members closely. For this purpose, we shall discuss this case and clarify our ambiguities regarding the implementation of ethics in our professional life effectively and productively.
Before discussing this case regarding ethical decision-making, we shall learn about leadership and what kind of skills, ethical standards implementation needed to become a good, effective and efficient leader. Specifically, leadership plays a significant role in making an ethical decision effectively and efficiently. When we define leadership, it is not which can be learned from anywhere, but, it is a built-in attribute in a person who has the calibre to carry out specific responsibilities regarding effective and efficient leadership skills. A leader is not only defined in terms of organization, but it can be the leader of a particular community or any respective field. Specific community choose their leader who has capabilities to lead its team more effectively and progressively. Likewise, students must take educational programs to learn leadership tactics a behave servant-leaders who have the abilities to serve the team productively and appropriately. The most important and focused component of leadership is ‘Ethical Decision-Making’. It refers towards the responsibility, extreme fairness along with caring for individuals or team working on any project. Most importantly, respect and responsibility demonstration is the ultimate objective of ethical decision-making (Cremer, David M., & Marshall, 2014). As far as ethical awareness is concerned, get some information about intends to uncover the relationship among moral consideration, moral dynamic, and straightforwardness from the point of view of authenticated open bookkeepers.
Taking everything into account, I worked with an association and continually anticipating pick an association where I would have the option to function as a decent yet successful pioneer (Turegun, 2017). I would have the opportunity to perceive myself as a successful pioneer who works proficiently at the same time, inside the impediments doled out by the association. Here, the moral dynamic is significant which we have learned in our courses, a considerable subject of our courses which drives authority or worker pioneers such that morals would not be belittled while carrying out initiative responsibilities, performing obligations profitably and proficiently. While providing a request to the group, it is required for a gainful pioneer that don’t put the regard of the colleagues on stake, so dynamic should be possible successfully and adequately. After getting some important leadership insights, it is necessary to share my professional case regarding ethical decision-making.
A business organization must consider its clients or customers as a building block of the organization because, without them, an organization can’t even think to survive. Suppose we are making quality products and possessing potential clients. In that case, it is the prime responsibility of the organization to keep them in the loop to let them know about the new products, policies etc. then it would be called a significant business. These are not only the clients but the potential stakeholders of the organization which has an interest in the organization in terms of its profit, products, policies etc. at the point when we talk about morals at work; it alludes to a specific arrangement of qualities, guidelines, standards which should be under trailed by all representatives and businesses of the association because these are important to be continued to drive the association regularly and make the working environment an excellent climate for representatives to work. Here, we will examine a circumstance where we needed to think about moral qualities, principles which we find in any hierarchical ethical guidelines structure. I generally experienced difficulty in moral dynamic at work.
Taking everything into account, I have not worked with any association yet, however continually anticipating picking an association where I would have the option to chip away at great yet successful administration through which I could settle on choices which would be useful and under moral principles of the association also (Turegun, 2017). I would have the option to perceive myself as a powerful pioneer who works effectively in any case, inside the constraints appointed by the association (”Set Your Goals High, and don’t stop till you get there”). Here, the moral dynamic is significant which we have educated, meaningful work environment morals which drive initiative or worker pioneers such that morals would not be thought little of while carrying out authority responsibilities, performing obligations gainfully and proficiently. While providing a request to the group, it is compulsory for a profitable pioneer that don’t put the regard of the colleagues on stake, so dynamic should be possible in a viable and suitable manner.
Most importantly, our team was working on a project where we were given a schedule according to which we had to manage the working hours and could complete the project on time. Based on ethical-decision mentioned above, making values, I faced some troubles as well during that project (Agarwal, 2019). I strongly warn every single team member about the punctuality they had to follow during this project duration (‘‘your life is a message to the world, make sure it’s inspiring’’). It was extremely important to make and finish the project on time, but most importantly, all deliverables should have appropriately completed. One team member got late from important project meeting, after completing the session, I went to him and without asking him about the reason he did come late. I wrote him a letter that he had been replaced by anyone else on this project; it was extremely unethical today, I still have regret in that decision-making which was not under ethical values because I should have asked him the reason behind his late-coming for the meeting. These are certain kind of situations where we need to use leadership skills to mitigate the situation effectively and efficiently. As a leader of the team, I was responsible for taking all team member together and sorting out the issues by sitting and listening to them; it is a key to let them develop trust on me and would be able to share their thoughts, problems regarding the project or apart from it (Darun, 2018). For this purpose, everyone needs an effective, ethical values training through which he/she would be able to drive the team in a way that achievement of desired goals and objectives could become comfortable and successful (”Ethics belongs to the difference between what you have a right to do and what is right to do”).
To strengthen our thoughts related to ethical decision-making, we connect this case with Utilitarianism Ethical Theory through which we would be able to gather more essential understandings to explain this moral dilemma. Utilitarianism is an ultimate form of consequentialism, a theory which studies ethical perspectives to determine right from wrong by focusing on consequences. As we already know the history of Utilitarianism, most important thing is the main idea, i.e. ”Actions which are right in the proportion as they managed, wrong as they are managed to produce the reverse of happiness or simply unhappiness”. This theory says that the most ethical choice is that which can produce the greatest good for great numbers. As far as business perspective is concerned, it is one of a basic and most common theoretical approach to have moral reasoning used in the businesses because it has specific ways which it depicts for accounts and benefits (Robertson & Garry, 2007). As we know that we can’t predict the future at all, it is tough to know that whether the outcomes against our actions will be good or bad, and these are considered as limitations of Utilitarianism.
Utilitarianism possesses some trouble accounting regarding values, i.e. justice, along with individual rights. As far as classic-act of Utilitarianism, greatest happiness account for the most significant number, for instance, we take an example of a hospital in which thalassemia patients’ lives depend upon the receiving blood of appropriate group to remain healthy. For this purpose, a healthy person wanders into the hospital, this person’s blood could be used to save those thalassemia patients whom blood would match to that person. It all happens within the ethical limitations, i.e. with the consent of that person (Moccia, 2018). Undoubtedly, we can say that it has produced the greatest good for the greatest numbers effectively and efficiently. Still, Utilitarianism would recommend the importance of those four thalassemia patients as compared to that healthy person wandered into the hospital. Lastly, Act and Rule Utilitarianism produce two different concepts, i.e. balance of happiness over unhappiness along with the generation of the most significant overall good, respectively.
An ethical frame-work is necessary to be implemented in our personal and professional life. As we are discussing it with a professional life perspective, it has some essential components; thoughts need to satisfy the clients by implementing the ethical standards measures more effectively and productively. To satisfy the clients, it is necessary to implement an effective and efficient ethical decision-making process for ABC organization regarding that situation. Another ethical dilemma which has faced by our team was according to ethical awareness. As far as ethical awareness is concerned, get some information about intends to uncover the relationship between moral consideration, moral dynamic, and straightforwardness from the point of view of authenticated stakeholders. Information was collected from certain aspects regarding assessment reactions, which depend upon a seven-point Likert scale, and isolated utilizing keen factor assessment. Hypotheses were had a go in any event squares descend into sin. The outcomes show that thinking about the people’s common reactions, they are influenced by and large by the degree of their moral consideration in ground-breaking about an ethical issue or straightforwardness of money related reports, which displays that the three musings are emphatically associated with one another (Cremer, David M., & Marshall, 2014). Being a best quality product provider, a perfect frame-work need to be implemented to develop understanding and induction of appropriate procedures to implement ethical decision-making. Ethical standards need to be induced by Hacker Inc. to solve the issues, maintain relationships under the shadow of practical, proper standards.
Implementation of ethical goals and objectives helps in identifying and analyzing the risk effectively and efficiently. In short, we can say that risk management becomes more comfortable and convenient through effectively implement ethics at workplace. As a leader, it is our prime responsibility too. Being a leader, I did what I should have to do at that time, which was an appropriate decision taken according to the situation and from employees respect perspective as well. Business hazard generally shows up in both substantial and elusive structures through the span of the business cycle. Danger event relies typically on the idea of the business tasks, whether it is an ordinary course of business activities or remarkable (Horton 2018). To the extent hazard event in unusual business activities which couldn’t be effortlessly distinguished. Enormous multinationals or Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises SME’s both are encircled with most extreme danger event. For this reason, they should receive fitting danger the board procedures to keep away from venture disappointments.
Lastly, it is necessary to say that ethics are an important and significant factor of differentiating between right and wrong. Our decisions may go wrong without having successful ethical implementation. For instance, we take an example of clinical practice where a patient arrives to receive mental health treatment. As a counsellor, It is mandatory for us to start from those questions which are not personal to her, because it makes her more comfortable. With the flow of discussion, she would be able to discuss her personal life, experiences, i.e. good and evil by herself. It will help us to make herself more comfortable and treat her very well. She needs effective mind relaxation therapy, which could be given to her when she feels relax and comfortable. This is what, ethics teach us about effective dealing with people and give us indications that where we have to ask specific questions and where we do not. Determinately, from past leadership experiences along with case we have discussed above, it has clarified that leadership does not complete without successful implementation of ethical standards in our personal and professional life successfully.
