There are several instances and cases pitting tobacco addiction victims and even death against companies that manufacture and sell the product. News coverage of this rulings and cases highlight and clearly portray the deceptive as well as misleading conduct of tobacco companies. The coverages also focus on the health hazards caused by smoking. The public would appreciate funding of tobacco control programs and regulation of the industry. The public expectation from victims and proponents of tobacco companies being held responsible in case of deaths and health damages of people has been that the companies need to understand the health effects caused by nicotine addictiveness and smoking, nicotine manipulation in cigarettes in delivering the most effective dose for maintaining addiction, and the industries’ concealment of these problems.
Cigarette smokers are addicts who cannot help their habit since they cannot control their actions. Defending cigarette companies by saying that it is smokers’ free will and quitting is not viable since battling addiction is not easy. Smoking addiction is caused by sophisticated industry marketing and not an individual’s choice. Cigarette companies claim that their products are safe, just like houses- with insurance and home warranty. The companies should be sued because no advertisement ever say smoking is tough. Action movie heroes, in many scenes, smoke cigarettes. Many smokers have a tough decision to make between misplaced vanity and common sense with marketers and advertisers’ creativity, and advertisers persuading them.
The government should much in controlling smoking and helping addicts quit. The respective governments should take legal action against companies with the aim of reducing smoking. Young people should be discouraged from smoking, but currently, there is no legislation like this. In fact, governments should be the ones first to sue tobacco companies. The taxpayers bear the bulk of financial expenses caused by the companies’ lethal products. Some companies compensate victims for payments directed towards expenses of treating disorders related to smoking when, in fact, the governments have the intestinal fortitude of standing up against the mess created. The governments should take action since it contributes to the companies’ production of the products and marketing ability.
The tobacco industry and business is vindicated as an evil industry. Cigarette companies make millions of profits from peddling diseases as well as deaths- and lying, while they should acknowledge that their products cause many deaths. The industry knowingly flogs a toxic, addictive, as well as ultimately lethal substance to its users for several years. Tobacco company’s business operations tell a story of concealed knowledge from the public, it offers its clients (smokers) false reassurance about products that were manufactured to be more addictive, but it is being sold as a healthy option to quitting.

Cigarette companies make profits at the expense of people’s lives. The companies’ chemists scheme are determined to maximize addiction. The industry’s unacceptable conduct should be blamed for diseases since during manufacturing process harmful chemicals are included; the governments are needed to help people reduce smoking and punitive laws are supposed to be established to deal effectively with the industry’s unacceptable way.
