Personal narrative (meeting my best friend)
The most awaited time had finally come. It was time to meet my best friend Hannah. We had planned for this summer since the start of the year and were eager of all the imminent events. We had the trips well planned with Panama City and Orlando as our destinations. We spent three days in each destination and enjoyed every single minute that we spent together.
The first place we visited was Panama City. There, we were fascinated by the clear, emerald water of the beach. One of the most exciting things was an encounter with the dolphins in the Shell Island. We were amused at how much playful the dolphins usually are. We learnt that the most common type of dolphin was the Bottlenose dolphin. These type of dolphins were good at jumping out of the water for a very long stretch. They also jumped beautifully some in unison and others even playing with the balls thrown to them. During evening hours, the rays of the setting sun and its redness were really beautiful and interesting to watch. We were also excited to visit St. Andrews State Park. This place is special because of its strategic location with St. Andrews Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other side. We also enjoyed swimming in the sandy beaches. It was also interesting to see other people being trained to swim, some drowning but immediately being helped by people around them. Among the activities that we really enjoyed here were snorkelling and scuba diving. This was an experience of its own kind, and we got a chance to see the starfish in the ocean and other marine life. Other fascinating things are the pines, the dunes and other coastal plants. This experience would not have been complete without touring the fishing piers in there. We learnt how to fish better and learnt about the species of fish found there, such as the sea trout, Spanish mackerel, cobia, redfish and bonito.
The next destination that we toured was Orlando. Here, we visited the Walt Disney World resort, where we were amused by the lights, the lasers and fireworks projections that made the entire place really beautiful. The music played was also very classic bearing contemporary versions of songs. The experience was at the climax with best rides on a Rock and Roller Coaster at a very high speed. This was frightening mainly at points where we felt like we were being dropped to the ground. However, it was a really amazing adventure. Other experiences were the World of AVATAR at the Animal kingdom. Among the things that we experienced here were floating mountains that seemed to go against the gravity, brilliant bioluminescent glowing nature and rivers flowing in a mystical way. We also toured the Blizzard Beach Water Park to experience its warm water with perfect aquatic playground. We were fascinated by the bunny slopes, downhills thrills and the black diamonds. The amazing plunging down at the 120 feet slope of Summit Plummet was exceptional. This was at a really high speed of up to 50mph with a clock that displays the speed of the plunge. We then visited the Epcot at nights and enjoyed the stunning illuminations that show the reflections of the earth. The view was amazing with lasers, lighting, dancing fountains and spectacular light show over the central lagoon were amazing experiences.
By the time we were leaving for our respective homes, we had had fun to the fullest. Every experience was mind-blowing and memorable with beautiful sceneries and amazing activities that we engaged in.
