Prompt Response Discussion- Chris Reeves

Chris, it was a pleasure reading through your discussion post regarding how organizations introduce and effects change. You offered a clear analysis of how change is important to any given organization. Further, you explained that whether an organization is large or small requires change agents and mentions who these change agents are and how they conduct the required changes. You also mentioned that before the intervention, it is crucial to diagnose the environment and know its employees. In cases where proper training and intervention is carried out, is likely to achieve the results. I agree with this statement, and I will use this discussion board response to explain why it is important to understand the employees. Change is not only embedded to change agents alone but also employees for the success of an organization. Yes, an organization may choose to have change agents in place, but without proper cooperation of the employees, no change will occur.

Also, concurring with you that replicating another organization procedure will not be successful. This is clear as different organizations have different needs and require unique strategies to achieve success. As mentioned, procedures need to be treated as a template and develop strategies that fit the given organization.

Lastly, I was impressed by the Bible verse given, “For everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven (Ecc 3:1, ESV).” Notably, there is a time for change and time to celebrate success. Every organization requires to consider when the right time to do any change is and how to carry out the procedure.
