Most of the minorities settled in Texas and ever since have been facing different challenges. The most significant challenges were representation. The Blacks and Hispanics in the area have experienced the longest time of under-representation, which means their rights are not well observed. Housing and ownership of properties was also another obstacle faced by the minority. The chances for the black to own a property compared to white was insignificant. Another issue was the education and health opportunities, which were limited to the minorities, and they faced discrimination in achieving different facilities.

The rights moved summed up some noticeable victories from dismantling Jim Crow from the south to making federal legislation meant to end the racial discrimination and hold the awareness of the African American culture, which was a compelling contribution to American and Texas.
