The symphony

The symphony has various themes present in all the four movements, thus creating unity and variety. The structure of the music is sonata which consists of exposition, development, and recapitulation. The symphony begins with a slow tempo that becomes faster as the music proceeds. The piece’s purpose is for use in funeral meetings and events, with each orchestra playing in unison. The music’s volume keeps changing from low to loud, creating a rhythm. The various instrumentations play different melodies creating a perfect harmony. Sonata establishes the form of the musical piece. The historical period of the musical composition is the classical period of 1802-1804. I enjoyed the musical composition, especially the combination of each instrument to create a unique code and rhythm.
