Famous Cafes that Have Closed Shop in the Wake of Coronavirus Pandemic

The covid-19 pandemic globally affected the food industry the most as governments worldwide ordered a temporary closure of restaurants and bars to help slow down the virus spread. In Europe, the daily traffic in cafes, bars, and restaurants dropped significantly. This led to a permanent closure of a few of them. The following are famous Cafes and coffee shops that were affected.

==Milk bar Soho==

The Milk bar is a little coffee shop that was frequented by many people before its closure. Hidden from the west end’s flashy lights is a small shop that offered the simple pleasures of life and provided delicious food, great music and art, a perfect cup of coffee, and the best customer service. The Cafe officially closed its doors on the 22nd of September, 2020, due to the covid-19 pandemic effects.

==Bulldog edition==

The bulldog edition was a very high-end café and a freelancer’s paradise at the Ace Hotel located in Shoreditch. The Café offered many creatives a great spot to do what they do best and enjoy the best Square Mile coffee made with London’s best coffee beans. The whole place was sadly and painfully closed down on the 11th of September, 2020.

==Piebury corner==

This is a legendary pie and coffee shop associated with Arsenal football club that was the most beloved by the north Londoners. The shops were shut down for lack of customers, which led to insufficient revenue during the pandemic when there were not soccer matches for the big leagues. Despite that, the landlords where both shops were seated demanded their rents in full. This drove more pressure on the owners and the management due to lack of business. The shop’s owner Paul announced plans to relocate. The shops were closed on the 19th of August 2020.
