Ben Whites Rural youth today and tomorrow
The idea of youth inclusion in the agricultural sector by Ben White has a significant influence on the social, political, and economic effects in the 21st century. Ben White suggests that many rural youth unemployment rates continue to trouble the nations because of the factors such as prolonged youth lives whereby the youths are not allowed to own land. This factor has made them continue just working in the family’s land where they have no ownership. Ben White says that youths have not been used as instruments of development as they should be due to a mismatch in the skills they have and what job requires and also the fact that youths works on family farms for free make them not motivated to work. Ben White having the best policies will help in solving the rural youth’s unemployment.
Ben White’s idea sparked a discussion about the way youth are supposed to be treated. The parents in different parts have started reconsidering on giving land to their children at early ages. The governments have started to create programs whereby the fellows gain on-jobs skills when they leave school and revise the curriculum to learn skills that they can use immediately after school.
