Health and Social Care

Illness can be defined as a given unusual condition that may affect the normal functioning of the body. Diseases are always associated with some signs and symptoms, which doctors and physicians typically use to diagnose. The last time I was ill, I was feeling some headaches. I was feeling so bad to the point that I could despise those moments I was sick. I viewed myself as being to lose self-control of my own body. I could feel some discomfort with dizziness viewing myself as an odd one, and view myself differently from my workmates. I consider myself being sick and so undesirable, so I had the only obligation to try much hard to improve and get well as soon as possible.

When I felt ill, I visited a doctor to seek medical attention from a health professional to get treatment. That is where I was diagnosed with malaria, and I was treated. The treatment was dependent on the signs that the doctor analyzed. The doctor’s intervention is very critical in treating various illnesses that attack humans.

I followed the medical advice given to me by the doctor since it was essential for my recovery. The doctor’s medical advice specifically included general care while adhering to the doctor’s correct prescriptions were to be followed. The doctors’ technical assistance is usually aimed at getting me better regarding my illness conditions.

On the occasions that I was ill, my friends’ response towards my illness was good, and I can say it helped me recover quickly. It was because they became an essential pillar in facilitating my recovery phase. They could help do something that I could not do.  Like Parsons once said that if too many individuals happened to be sick, it could cause a society to be dysfunctional with effects that may not be imaginable and urges entry into sick role needed to be regulated. My friends did not anticipate that I join the ill part to create a dysfunctional society where the effects are already known. When I was sick, I was somehow restricted from doing hard jobs like relocating items and doing manual work in the homestead that required heavy physical activity and a lot of energy. These were according to the advice given by the doctors.
