Executive summary
Logistic is defined as the process in which complex
management strategies are implemented to enhance the organization’s services.
The smooth function of the organization need good interaction and communication
between the employees of the organization. The logistic performance priorities
are the objectives and goals that should be met in the organization to run the
supply chain smoothly. The supply chain concept is important for the business
because the chances of getting good finished products are increased due to
supply chain management. There are different goals of logistic performance
priorities such as enhance the service of customers so that they can become
satisfied with the organization. The main purpose of all the organizations is
to increase the sale because it leads to the improvement in growth of
organization in market. Therefore, increase sale and efficiency of the
organization is also a specific goal of logistic performance priorities
(Mangan, 2016). These processes enable the organization in managing the supply
chain management to reduce the gap between consumption and origin of the
organization. There are different tools that can be used to manage the supply
chain from which one of the most important tool is shipping status tool because
it gives information about the time at which shipping should be done. The
management of supply chain can be done by this process, as it has been
determined from the research that the chances of errors in manual processes are
high. Large organizations use this type of logistic tool because different
number of cargo is shipped in their organization from all over the world. Other
tool that is being used in both developed and developing countries is order
processing tool such as SCM software that facilitates the organization to order
the cargo easily. These tools support different functions such as order
management, billing and order to cash, sales order processing, and order
fulfillment. It has been determined that chances errors become reduced due to
use of these supply chain management tool (Mangan, 2016).
