Racial and Social Justice Article Analysis: “Understanding Trump’s Muslim Ban”

International relations overshadow the development of racism and social injustice within the global platform. The negligence develops since international affairs are mainly dependent on the demands of dominant White countries. Regarding their vital role in international affairs, White countries seek to retain their dominance by limiting the rights of non-white to express their demands and advocate for justice. The limitation facilitates both economic and social exploitation of the non-white countries to ensure the attainment of needs developed by the White nations. The development of discriminative activities and regulation within White countries serves as an example of the racial and social injustice within the international community.

The article “Understanding Trump’s Muslim Ban” outlines the discriminative nature of the U.S immigrant regulation that restrict Muslims and Africans from migrating into the country. The restriction further restricts African citizens from accessing the U.S more so African from Muslim affiliated countries. The countries restricted under the Muslim ban act include Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, North Korea, Venezuela, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Myanmar, Eretria, Sudan and Tanzania. The restriction extends U.S racist nature developed on colour and religious affiliation basis. The segregation activities oversee the discrimination and persecution of Muslims and African Americans within the United States.

Similarly, the National Immigration Law Center (2020) identifies that the restrictive regulations seek to limit protection and humanitarian aid offered by the international community to countries experiencing wars and natural disasters. Concerning the challenge of racial discrimination and social injustice within the international community, international relations should develop the need for liberation wars to decry discrimination activities and advocate for social equality. The move will help build a unified and liberal global society under which all human beings are equal despite the existence of different cultures and races.
