The following brochure targets adult type 2 diabetes patients and their caregivers or nurses. The information contained in the brochure is essential to both the patients and the caregiver. Adlyxin is a one-time injection to improve blood sugar levels along with exercise and suitable diet (“FDA approves Adlyxin to treat type 2 diabetes,” 2020). The brochure describes the drug available and explains the vital information on the medicine for the patients and the caregivers.
As mentioned above, the brochure provides essential information about the drug to the patients and the caregivers. This information is necessary for the patients to get proper education on the medication they are using. The caregivers will get information on how to administer the drug correctly and also, the right dosage to administer to their patients. Also, the brochure provides information on the drug interactions of Adlyxin, i.e., what drugs cannot be taken concurrently with Adlyxin. The brochure also contains information on the mechanism of action of the medicine for the nurses to understand how the drug works in the bodies of their patients. Also, the nurses can look out for any side effects mentioned in the brochure and be prepared to handle and explain it to their patients.
For the patients, the brochure provides some general information on the drug and the dosage. It also includes information on the injection site, where the patient is supposed to receive the injection, and how to prepare the injections. The patients also get information on the side effects of the drug, and they can prepare for that as well. The brochure also contains information about the conditions which have not been tested with Adlyxin, and it advises the patients to seek other antidiabetic therapies to avoid complications.
