Consumer Engagement for Social Media Event’s Marketing and Customer Service

Social media marketing has become common among many companies that would like to minimize their marketing costs, as well as reach a lot of people. The success of marketing on social media is often assessed using the social media success metrics which include likes, comments, opens, views, followers, or clicks since they are indicative of the level of engagement an organization is getting (Hilde et al., 2018). Social media is, therefore, an effective channel of advertising events and providing customer service.

There are various ways in which social media can be used to market an event. The first method is creating the vent page on Facebook. The event’s page created should be creative, attractive, memorable, and most importantly, fun, depending on the audience. The second strategy would be investing in video marketing. Statistics show that people are more likely to respond to videos. The third strategy would be collaborating with social media influencers. When the influencers talk about it more people get interested. Finally, have a creative hashtag for the event (Hallam, 2018). All strategies should be innovative and consider new trends.

Social media can also be used for customer service. The first strategy is to relate with the customers and respond to their input promptly. The companies should also make sure they strategically use hashtags, to help consumers search their concerns under the hashtags. The third strategy would be having a loyal customer base that could advocate for the company when they get bad reviews. Finally, actively participating in social media makes customers feel like someone is caring for their needs (Corcione, 2019).

Social media is an important channel of marketing, and organizations must come up with ways of keeping the customers engaged, happy, and loyal. Social media marketing strategies are just as important as all other marketing strategies.
