Personal Background and Career Goals
I have always found it fascinating and exciting to see and admire the world from different perspectives. My initial interaction with a camera came at a tender age. Taking pictures became one of my hobbies, which led to creativeness, eye to detail, patience and passion in professional photography. The possibilities of bringing back memories, feelings, and sound of an event in detail pushed me to nurture photography interests. I consider photography a way of understanding our past, present and future as a human being, which triggered the passion for making this a reality. Creativity and imagination are my greatest skills, which I believe will play a significant role in pursuing a successful photography career in the future. Through passion, hard work and determination, I will excel in my intended course of photography in Savanah College of Art and Design.
Personal Interests
Many reasons have influenced my desire to pursue photography at Savanah College of art and design. I have always had the inner desire to positively impact others’ lives; however, how little and I believe photography provides me with the lenses of seeing and achieving these possibilities. There is a belief that a photo can trigger a thousand memories. This is the sole reason I have always admired to be a professional photographer because I can provoke thought and inspiration from other people. Lack of inspiration usually limits our desire and goals to achieve our goals as human beings. As a professional photographer, I will trigger the viewers to take up the challenge and explore their internal and external desires. Additionally, photography is one of the best tools that can be used to bring about positive changes through activism. I believe that photography allows us to capture the reality of a moment, which can play a significant role in inspiring people to seek changes. Pursuing my intended major in photography will help me achieve my goals and dreams of inspiring people.
Personal Experiences
I have watched numerous movies that seek to explore our past using the “time machine,” but in reality, this is only possible through capturing current moments which we can reference later in life. I believe I have the basic knowledge in photography because I had always enjoyed taking photos, especially on weekends and during family vacations since I was young. The passion for capturing the perfect grew tremendously. When I acquired my first smartphone, I could capture all the activities around me, which I continue to do presently. In standing out from the rest of the crowd, hard work and determination are required. This led me to take several free online classes in Udemy, which provided an introduction to digital photography. The hunger to acquire knowledge about photography will immensely add success to my intended major of photography in Savanah College of art and design.
Additional Experiences
The feeling of detachment can lead to the loss of memories and feelings that we share with other people in our lives. I have lost connections with most of my friends and distant family members, and I do not have anything that I can look at and remember the good and the bad times we spent together. The feeling has significantly influenced my desire to pursue photography, and I decided to put much effort into learning the Adobe Photoshop software application, which is essential in photography. The early exposure to photography has helped me to put in the effort to learn different photography software because I have the passion, which I believe will also be instrumental in succeeding in my intended photography course.
Future Professional Plans
I believe pursuing photography will significantly place me in a better position in establishing a global presence, which will help open my fashion and entertainment company. I want to become the CEO of a company to easily reach my desire to be an environmental activist who will command and influence changes that will ultimately help minimize global warming.
