Summer Vacation in Paris

Taking off time from work for vacation is essential. The reason being, it increases productivity by lowering the stress level and preventing burnout. With holidays, people become relaxed and mentally refreshed. Thus, to increase productivity, vacation is necessary for everybody. However, not everyone enjoys their vacation. Poor vacation experience can be because of many factors, such as the longest bus ride or finding no place to stay. The period is one of the wettest and hottest. With this kind of weather, expect most summer days in Paris to be anywhere between mild to very hot, with conditions ranging from transparent to muggy, stormy and wet. The maximum high temperatures for June through August average out to about 75F (Traub, 2019). Much hotter days are experienced in late July, August, and early September. Summertime in Paris is the time of the year when everyone packs and go to explore and enjoy the things the city offers. When visiting these places, make sure to wear something light even if it is relatively wet. Therefore, summer vacation in Paris is not for the crowd shy. Conversely, meeting people from different parts of the world in Paris is a fun prospect. People get to share and exchange ideas.

Summer in Paris promises some fun and long days. Summer events in Paris range from sightseeing, festival and event galore, summer markets, and shopping sales, to day trips. With summer marketing and shopping sales, most retail stores and fashion boutiques offer massive discounts for their products. Equally, travelers and visitors can get handmade goods and souvenirs from local markets such as Marche Bastille and Marche d’Aligre. For day trips, Paris offers long day trips that allow visitors to have scenic views and to take photographs. Some of the best destinations for such experience include Loire Valley Castle of Chambord and the Palace of Versailles. With summer being a prime time for the music festival in Paris, the city offers open-air music events. These include the Paris street music. Equally, music fans will enjoy the Rock en Seine, which is a music festival that takes three days on the western outskirts of the city. The unique festivals and events that visitors can participate in include the Paris Pride Parade and the green music festival. To cool off, visitors should consider taking a boat tour of the Seine River or jumping into plunge pools at Paris Plage.

Just like any other place, Paris has some best places to visit during the summer. To celebrate with the locals, Champs de Mars is the best place to visit on July 14 (Mosby, 2020).On this day, the Parisians celebrate the Bastille taking that occurred during the French revolution in 1789. Thus, to celebrate with the local’s visitors can visit Champs Elysee to be part of the grand military parade. The event takes place at the Arch of Triumph and lasts from 10 am to noon. By attending the celebration, visitors learn the French tradition and enjoy the remarkable firework that gives the enchanting vision of Paris. Comparatively, with the popularity of the event, visitors need to arrive much early to enjoy the fireworks. Another best place to visit in Paris during summer is the Jardin desTuileries. The area not only offers a beautiful garden to relax but also a funfair event. The Fete des Tuileries event offers an intense atmosphere for family tradition. The site also provides fairground attractions, traditional food, sweets, and fun rides.

In accommodating the millions of visitors that visit Paris, the city offers a wide range of places to stay. For both pocket-friendly and luxury accommodation, the town does not disappoint. Some luxury hotels include the Pullman Paris  Eiffel and Novotel Paris Les Halles. Visitors can also indulge in the French delicacies during their summer stay in Paris. Some of the must-try seasonal treats include  Escargot, a meal made with fresh snails in butter. The locals consider this meal their favorite because it is a delight for the soul. Another meal to try is the Nicoise salad. Tasting the mixture feels like having the summer vacation in Paris on a bowl. The assortment of hard-boiled eggs, olives, tomatoes, and anchovies brings out the best taste. As one of the most visited places in the world, communicating around Paris during summer can be challenging. However, the city has a well connected and extensive transport system. Visitors have easy access to different travel destinations. Equally,they are given free transport between the second and sixth day of the visit. Some of the transport facilities available include buses, trams, and taxis.

 

Spending the summer in Paris might be the best decision that a person makes in terms of choosing a travel destination. However, without some vital traveling essentials, the trip can turn out to be the worst. Some fundamental traveling essentials for Paris in summer include clothing, flat shoes, and daypack. With shoes, visitors are advised to carry flat, comfortable shoes. Ideally, shoes can be sneakers. However, they should also bring waterproof shoes that will serve them during the rainy seasons. Dresses, t-shirts, and shorts are the ideal summer clothing for summer in Paris. For rainy days, raincoats and windcheater are perfect. For the day pack, have a small backpack with travel essentials such as travel documents and water. Other travel essentials for Paris in summer are sun protection and mobile apps.

Conclusively, summer vacation might not be ideal for everyone, but a trip to Paris might strike all the right chords. There are many reasons to visit Paris.
