Introduction
Question 1
The issue presented is attached to a significant need to establish an understanding of the different ways in which we may ethically utilize the presence of animals in saving lives through research. However, the positive feeling I have is mainly due to a few reasons attached to the analysis using animals and its implications in creating value and ethically utilizing the research to achieve set objectives with minimal harm to the animals. The first reason entails the need to value animals and the ethical consideration towards their lives and how they may become used more excellently to transform the healthcare system and benefit humans positively.
Secondly, the debate is well established as there are significant questions the discussion answers in line with animal testing in research and the link with technology. Additionally, a mutual ground may become arrived in the most ethical manner in which the animals may become utilized in the study with minimal harm or no harm in saving human lives. These reasons are the main facts that push towards the current feeling about the issue presented. Whether the agreement arrived is satisfying and creates a significant impact by considering its ethical implications. The involvement of animals in test research has continued to prevail for a longer time. It would become possible even in the future only if the ethical facts are pulled together to bring a long-lasting solution and implications of going against the set norms in research.
Question 2
The unending debate as to the different approaches to animal research is characterized by significantly different ideas and responses to the best system that would become established in the continued use of animals in research (Wells, 2012). However, within the issues, the most ethical response that I felt creates an impact would involve advocating better oversight and more humane regulations in the research approach. From the issue at hand, the most important thing is establishing better research that would utilize the animals with no harm to save lives. The response presents the most ethical approach. It focuses on the humane part of the animals, giving better oversight in the research and ensuring that the different regulations become well established to fight animal rights.
Additionally, by the fact that these animals may have a right of use, the humane rules would present a more ethical approach to research and would act as a guiding tool towards saving lives. Backed up by Utilitarianism theory, establishing a need and the rightness to use animals in research gives a more significant impact on how well an individual may put them to use. It’s further attached to the principle of least harm, where individuals need to act in the best way possible to reduce the risk of an action (Conklin, 2015).
In conclusion, ethical norms must become placed at the center stage in finding a solution that would serve both parties rightfully. By establishing better oversight and ensuring more humane regulations, there is a more significant impact in saving lives through the research approaches (Pence, 2004). An example is the presentation of rules governing the extent of use of different animals in research, which would help reduce the significant reduction of these in their ecology.
