Executive summary
The purpose of MMBSS Customer Relations System Project is to provide a project plan for installing an IT system in Mamma’s Bakery and Sandwich Shoppe. The plan will provide an platform for establishment of a system that grants customers ability to place orders online 24/7, increase the number of customers and the overall sales in the newly rented space, handle debit and credit transactions in online store, establish website and internet presence and ensure an effective IT system that supports point-of-sale, inventory management and bookkeeping. In addition, the installation will allow Mamma Mia Bakery and Sandwich Shoppe to “connect” to her suppliers, the health department for food services while establishing current and future business relationships. MIA Consulting Services will implement the project.
Currently, the Mamma Mia Bakery and Sandwich operate on a single cash register that captures all the transactions with the goods and services being purchased using cash or check method. With the current expansion effort made by the bakery, there is a need for automation of the bakery activities through the installation of an IT system to ensure efficiency, effectiveness as well as the smooth running of Mamma Mia Bakery and Sandwich. It’s on this basis that this project plan is laid out. According to the plan, the key deliveries for the installation include IT infrastructure, custom website, Wi-Fi enabled Hotspot within the store location, User Manual and Training Material to ensure that the employees get conversant with the new IT installations and system for output. The project will kick off 6/17/2019 and is expected to be delivered on 10/25/2019. The total cost resources required is 3828.98, which include Verizon FiOS Business Plan (150Mbps), Verizon FiOS wireless router and activation, Sophos XG 135 Wireless Next Generation Firewall with two years of network protection, web protection, and enhanced support. Xerox Work Centre 3335/DNI All-In-One Laser printer, 1,000 feet of Cat 6A cable.
The project manager may approve all project changes with an impact of $5,000 or less of the budget or less than 7-day schedule delay. Also approved project changes beyond $50,000 on the budget or 60 days on the schedule will result in a new project charter. In addition, all the project changes with an impact between $5,000 and $49,000 on the budget, or between 8 and 60 days on the schedule, will be agreed upon in writing in change documentation between the project manager and stakeholder from Mamma’s Bakery and Sandwich Shoppe. The Identified constraints for the implementation of this project is the cost, as the cost may exceed the specified $ 100,000 of which MIA Consulting services will bring it to the attention of the stakeholders, as well as completion of the project within the specified time. The availability of the resources is also a possible challenge to the implementation of the project. This project will be completed and delivered to the Mamma Mia Bakery and Sandwich Shoppe after the completion of the project Closure Document, after which all costs and award fees will be reconciled by Mamma’s Bakery and Sandwich Shoppe and Mia Consulting Services.
