Positive discipline is a model used by schools and in parenting. It deals with behavioral points that are positive. The program is projected to teach young individuals to become accountable, respectful, and resourceful adherents in society. Apart from the critical thing that takes them to school, which is academics, they also have the social aspect side that is pivotal to them and is supposed to guide them through life. Positive discipline helps teach the social and life skills to the children as well as the adult. A positive control is not about permissiveness, where one lets the students do whatever they want without limiting them and making them not follow the laid down rules.

Having a school that teaches good behavior for the children that they take them to the later day of life is termed successful because it can do it to the long term rather than in the short -time where the only focus is doing homework and instructing them to keep quiet. The way a teacher would react to this type of short-term frustrations would go ahead to hinder the growth of the long term goals of the positive discipline; an example would be yelling, shaming, or beating. These deeds do not strengthen their interest, help out, or even motivate them. Students ought to be kind, responsible, confident, and non-violent individuals, and the above practices do the negative in the long run.

Identifying long term goals is one key factor to establishing positive discipline among the children. There are two tools to achieving the long term goals and need to be provided when teaching, and they are warmth and structure. Kindness affects the learners academically emotionally and behaviorally. Students learn better when they are motivated, respected, understood, and trusted. These aspects mold them to achieve long term goals. The students feel accepted and meaningful to the school, which helps even elevate their performance in school work. Coming up with a structure which entails information and support, would go high up in assisting students in succeeding in behavioral ways and also academically. They can acquire tools to help them in problem-solving matters, and conflicts become rare in the school and even when they get out of school. Teachers are the role models that the students emulate and also they offer mentorship to their students by explaining the reasons for setting rules and helping them fix mistakes.

While teaching, it is good to understand and be aware of the children development and growth that they experience over the years of schooling, and their brain development grows with those years. They do not learn the same way and so should be treated differently. There are early childhood children who are treated differently from late primary or adolescents. The next is that the teachers should recognize individual differences because as much as they go through the same stages in life, they go through different environments all together and so they have different experiences When one discovers the different upbringing and experiences, it becomes easy to help them become disciplined.

The teacher needs to have problem-solving skills to avert any problem that a student would be experiencing. When a teacher identifies a problem like making noise in class, he or she should come up with a way to handle it. One is helping them to understand that their behavior affects others, and they should accept accountability mentality. It is achieved by respecting others in the class, and it can be instilled by advice. Words of wisdom help them have a clear mind that is judgmental and can solve their problems.
