Title:
Global health describes the health of individuals in a worldwide context. Many issues affect the health of people globally. Some problems affect people in specific regions, while others are common in all regional areas. People have little control over disasters that could affect health. However, some diseases result from exposure to pathogens and demanding environments. People can control and prevent conditions that arise from contamination and pathogens. The paper seeks to discuss noncommunicable illnesses as a global issue affecting health. Also, the paper outlines how health care systems address worldwide health issues, mentioning the stakeholders who work on such matters.
Noncommunicable diseases continue to affect people globally. The non-communicable diseases are not transmittable from one individual to another. However, there is an increasing rise in the number of people suffering from noncommunicable diseases. Noncommunicable diseases fall into four categories (Nugent, et al., 2018). Cardiovascular diseases include strokes and heart attacks, while chronic diseases are mostly asthma and chronic pulmonary condition. The other noncommunicable diseases are diabetes and cancer. The generally cold regions experience high deaths due to asthma and respiratory infections. Also, people around the world continue to suffer from diabetes and cancer (CDC, 2020). Diabetes is common in Appalachian and southern states, and lower in Northeast America. The non-communicable diseases affect the health facilities since they cause congestion and other patients are not able to get adequate attention from medics. Further, most of the healthcare institutions lack sufficient and developed systems to deal with cancer. Patients from less developed nations have to travel to developed states to seek medical care.
Healthcare delivery systems work together to ensure the provision of medical care to individuals. Further, the facilities provide primary care, rehabilitation, outpatient and home care to patients. Also, health insurance companies exist to relieve people from paying expensive medical bills. Other organizations also chip in to help in providing medical care and screening to communities (CDC, 2020). The stakeholders who work to ensure the well-being of people include; the healthcare facilities management personnel, medical practitioners, support staff, funding agencies and partners, trustees and health agencies. They all work together to ensure the health safety of individuals and to prevent the spread of illnesses and death resulting from sickness.
In conclusion, health is a critical issue that people need to take care of and ensure safety. People face many problems that hamper their wellness globally. Medical practitioners work together with other stakeholders to ensure the health safety of individuals. Insurance providers and funding groups cushion people from expensive medical bills. Medical practitioners offer health assistance, while researcher study on matters of disease and develop vaccines and cure strategies. Every stakeholder is essential in ensuring the delivery of quality medical care.
