A Narrative about Me
If someone ever described me, they would call me a book lover. As most people are glued to their phone, I am always interested in reading books. Today, I will discuss how books, elephants, and paintings represent my self-concept.
Books
As per the famous saying, “a reader lives a thousand lives before he dies.” I love reading because it opens up my mind about different concepts. Also, I am not a picky reader; I read anything I lay my hands on. You will find me reading about religion, science, fiction, history, technology, wildlife; to mention just a few. I like staying informed, and to me, books are the best medium for gaining knowledge about all aspects of life.
Elephants
Elephants never forget. I relate to the elephant because I have a very retentive memory. As a vast reader, I have learned to retain the knowledge I get from books for a long time. I have a collection of documentaries and books about elephants. Over the years, I have read about the life and behavior of, and surprisingly, the elephant is a noble animal.
Paintings
I love paintings not just because they are beautiful, but also because of the stories behind them. All the pictures have stories that lead to their existence. Once I discover a painting, my first instinct is to read about the artist who painted it and their inspiration. One of my favorite artists is Mary Cassatt, since there is always an interesting story behind her art.
Conclusion
I remember the first day I read about elephants I was wowed because of how retentive the animal was. I love paintings because they always get me reading. I hope by the objects I have used, you now have a better understanding of me.
