A Reflection of Career and Institution Choice.
Florida SouthWestern (FSW) College is a prestigious, long-standing institution that offers high-quality services and facilities since 1962. I want to enroll in college for several reasons. The first is the high quality of education provided at the institution. The nursing program is well established and has a wide variety of resources available to students. Second, the college is within my resident state (Florida), hence it is convenient since I would not have to relocate. Third, the college offers evening and weekend classes, which would allow me to maintain a day job during my study period. Finally, the tuition fees are reasonable and within my budget. The nursing program at FSW College is of high quality and convenient.
The primary purpose behind my ambition to further my studies at Florida SouthWestern (FSW) College is to become a licensed nurse in the United States of America. I have practiced nursing in Romania for fifteen years. The duties I performed throughout most of my career in Romania fit within the job description of medical assistants in the United States of America. Therefore I cannot practice as a nurse in the US without acquiring the necessary academic and licensing qualifications. Despite the slight set back, I look forward to engaging my mind in the academic side of healthcare and familiarizing myself with programs in the US healthcare system, such as the Evidence-Based Practice programs. After completing my nursing program, I hope to apply for my nursing license and resuming my nursing career, which is my lifelong ambition.
