A Sneak Peek into the PS5: What to Expect
With its expected release date late into the year 2020, gamers can’t help but rumor about features and games to be in the PS5. Sony has kept the fans glued to their website, waiting for more updates on the new console.
Here are a few of the confirmed features;
- Backward Compatibility
The PS5 developers have confirmed that the console will be compatible with games from PS4. However, only the top 100 most played games of the PS4 will make it to the list.
- Fast Loading Games
A recent demonstration by Cerny showed that the games are taking lesser time to load. Using an example of the Insomniac Spider-Man, which took about a second rather than the 15 seconds, a PS4 Pro would take to load the same game.
- New Design Controller
With the vision to create a feeling of immersion during play, Sony has made innovations on the controller.
First, there is haptic feedback in place of the rumble. This means that the player can feel the impact of action in the game, for example, a car crash.
Secondly, adaptive triggers have been integrated into the L2/R2 buttons to provide the players with an opportunity to feel the sensation for various actions.
For voice chats, you will not need a headset as the control also has a built-in microphone.
- New Games
Godfall is the first game confirmed to be on the console. It is set to be released during the ‘holiday 2020’ launch of the PS5. Surprisingly, the enemy attacks in the game will depend on the number of players playing at the time. You can play solo or with a couple of friends.
Summary
The PS5 has a couple of fantastic features that gamers will undoubtedly enjoy.
