A-Team Black Day Bad Rock Full Episode (1983-1987) Review
The A-Team Black Day Bad Rock is an adventure, action, and crime movie which made its first move into the airwaves on 22nd February 1983 with Christian. I as the chief director. The storyline is about a B.A. team that decides to hole up at a small town (Badrock) after being seriously injured in a firefight and losing blood. They seek help from an attractive female doctor who decides to report them to the local sheriff instead. The A team then shows up to try and reach to their injured colleagues but faces competition from an angry biker gang. This essay will review the episode, making a clear description of the members of the A-team, the role of women, and show the position of the government in this episode.
The A- team was made up of different characters, all of which have played their roles well, displaying their different values and strengths. The A team comprises of Colonel John “Hannibal” Smith, Lieutenant Templeton “The Faceman” Peck and Sergeant Bosco Albert “B.A.” Baracus, who are flown to Mexico by a fearless but clinically insane pilot, referred to as Captain H.M “Howling Mad” Murdock. This team is made up of individuals who are courageous and able to stand up to a hostile environment. For instance, B.A. Baracus is shot in the leg with a 50 caliber gunshot and is taken to a local hospital in a small town by his colleagues. One of the biggest strengths of the A team is that they embrace teamwork and can persevere. They are bound together by their brotherly bond and the fact that they are all members of the U.S. special forces commando. Despite this, there is a list of notable differences between them.
For instance, B.A. Baracus is revealed to be a rude fellow according to his experience with the doctor, who assumes that they are members of the local group of bikers who have been terrorizing the town. On the other hand, Murdock is displayed as a disciplined and smart individual, as he quickly understood the professor’s explanations. Members of the A-team are presented as Vietnam veterans. Their presentations are similar to those of the veterans in the U.S. media in several ways. For instance, they can perform various risky missions such as rescuing the daughter of a wealthy man from a religious cult, rescuing the professor from a high ranking mobster, and rescuing a bride from a would-be sociopath and murderer husband among many others.
Women have also played a series of different roles in this episode. For instance, newspaper reporter Amy Allen is set to prove that the A-team was wrongly convicted and that they are working on the side of the law as mercenaries. She can work with them in performing several missions and, in the long run, also blackmails herself into joining the A-team. The female doctor is also portrayed as a loving and caring but a cautious individual. Despite reporting the A team to the sheriff, she can help them by giving B.A. a blood transfusion. This show contradicts the traditional view of women in different ways. From this show, women are portrayed as hardworking individuals. Newspaper reporter Amy Allen can tirelessly work herself up, and she ends up joining the A-team. This is in contrary to the traditional views and beliefs which rendered women as helpless individuals who cannot take up hard tasks such as working in the army.
Both good versus bad and morality versus immorality are well defined within the episode. Most occurrences in this episode are about bad characters who inflict pain on good individuals through immoral acts. The A team performs a series of different missions, most of which are against the evil and wicked characters. In the long run, the ethical and moral characters are the victors. The government is not positioned as an agent for good within the show. For instance, most of the missions accomplished by the A team ought to have been done by the government, but they instead resort to hunting down the A-team.
