In electrical power

An example of a Technical Performance Measure in electrical power is operation performance. In this case, a given power plant’s operation will be compared for a current time to a consecutive past performance. This Technical Performance Measure example is worth tracking. It will help to know if a power plant’s operation performance is increasing or decreasing, so that appropriate actions are taken to correct the situation.

In mechanical

An example of a Technical Performance Measure in this subsystem is the production cost. This will be used to compare the production cost of similar mechanical machines like vehicles against other production companies.  This type of TPM is worth tracking to check how the cost of production can be lowered if it is above the cost for other producing companies.

In guidance

A good example of TPM here is reliability ( which is expressed as a rate of failure). This can be accessed by comparing the current rate of failure and the initial rate of failure.  This is worth tracking as it helps in determining the reliability of a system under guidance like an aircraft.

In Navigation and Control (GNC)

  An example of TPM in Navigation includes schedule; this will help compare the variation of the projected time of a project and the actual time it took. It is worth tracking the schedule since it will help to look for ways to reduce the causes of time wastage.

 In thermal control

An example of TPM here is the efficiency of operation. The operation efficiency of a given thermal control is compared against another similar control. This, therefore, is worth as it will help to know what triggers the reduction of efficiency, which makes the control expensive.

Command and Data Handling (CDH)

Flexibility is an example of TPM in this subsystem. This is worth tracking as it will help in checking how data can be stored and accessed at will within a system.

Communications and Payload

A good example here is accuracy.  This is worth tracking to compare and check if the system can communicate with passengers to aid passengers and cargo payment in a plane.
