Alzheimer’s Condition

Alzheimer’s condition is a health problem associated with the brain. It brings about memory loss; the affected person will have cognitive defects or rather cognitive deficits and will as well record noticeable behavioural changes (Kansal, Tafazzoli, Ishak, Krotneva & ADNI, 2018). It is a health disorder that poses a variety of challenges to the affected persons, as most of them will never be back to whom they previously were (Bhuvanendran, Kumari Othman & Shaikh, 2018). A patient with such a condition is as well a victim of death, heart diseases, and cancer as such individuals might as well be inactive in real life. As their condition worsens, it can lead to the death of an individual or even more complications leading to the individual becoming prone to misfortunes while still others may suffer rejection from close friends and family members.

As an individual, if I was to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s condition and I was to die in ten years, I would love to know about my condition early enough as it would help me to have planned myself for the future. This will help boost my confidence, and I would be able to tackle future expectations as a guarantee despite the situation I am in. I would as well look forward to bringing into place the possible preparations in terms of maybe the cost that might be incurred for my health expenses in the future.

In addition, knowing about one’s condition as early will enable one to actively participate in clinical trials which will expose one to a variety of opportunities to help curb the condition even if it doesn’t become extinct. This will also create room for research about the condition and possible remedy, and future remedies will be kept at per (Mariani, Malm, Lamb, Jay, Neilson, Casali & Landreth, 2017). It would as well be important for me since I will be able to understand clearly about what the possible effects and psychologically I will be ready to welcome them if any is making it easy for me to live with the condition as if it were normal life.

In conclusion, some people would want to know about their Alzheimer’s condition, and this is so because, one will be able to live to the fact that he or she has the condition and put in place necessary steps to see to it that if not done away with, the adverse effects of the condition can at least be reduced. Others love to know so that they can inform their families and prepare them psychologically so that if it so happens that they become affected by the condition, it will hit the family members by surprise. On the other hand, other people might not opt to know about the condition, and this is so because just like any other disease, they might see it as a beginning of stress to them and others feel that it might as well end up stressing up their loved ones. To prevent this from happening, they always opt to stay without knowing whether they have the condition or not.
