American Government Policy
Responsibilities in economics
As a United States citizen, I have an immense responsibility to contribute to the country’s economy through consumer spending and business investment, which are critical drivers of economic growth. For example, as a consumer, if I buy homes, the homebuilders, the construction workers, and contractors will experience economic growth (“How Citizenship Helps the Economy,” 2020). Business investment creates employment opportunities lead to a rise in wages hence increase purchasing power, which boosts the economy in terms of spending. Additionally, earning high wages leads to high consumption of goods and services hence more payment of taxes, which in turn creates economic growth.
Responsibilities in Civil Rights
As a citizen of the united states, I participate in civic responsibility to contribute to the success of democracy. Through civic responsibility, I ensure I uphold certain democratic values enshrines in the bill of rights and the United States constitution. Those duties or values include equality, freedom, justice due process, privacy authority, truth, and participation, human rights tolerance rule of law self-respect, self-restraint, and mutual assistance (Self, 2020).
Responsibilities in Social Welfare
As a citizen, I have a responsibility in social welfare through participating in the philanthropic sector(Self, 2020). Through corporate participation, I have a responsibility to contribute to social welfare by giving time and money to the less fortunate in society. I have a responsibility to learn and complete the projects within the communities that are deprived. I have a duty to support the service-learning through the Youth service America and other centers for the Philanthropy.
Responsibilities in Environment
As a city, I have a responsibility to protect the nation’s greatest resources and enforce the environmental regulations and laws that have been put in place by the government (Roberts, Dobbins, Bowman, 1992). It is my responsibility to know their country’s land and natural attributes more than the government to take action rather than thinking it is the responsibility of the government. I have a personal stake in environmental health, beauty, and permanence. Environmental quality is my responsibility.
