Anderson is among the most perseverant people
Option A
Anderson is among the most perseverant people that I know. He is now 35, an individual with short stature, and a smiling face that conceal all the problems he has experienced. Since when he was a young boy, he dreamt of becoming a teacher of English because he felt that would give him a chance to inspire children from humble backgrounds. His eloquence of the language at a tender age stunned both teachers and fellow students. Teachers often read out his essays to fellow students and urged them to emulate him. However, his life had experienced several turbulences that threatened to halt his dream of becoming a teacher. The first blow was the loss of his parents through a fatal road accident, which left him with no one to pay his high school fees. The incident had forced him to leave the school, seek a job at nearby hardware to cater to his needs. He would also save some money so that he could get back to school. Luckily, when the hardware owner, Mr. James, realized what the young man was doing, he decided to sponsor Anderson for the remaining years, and adopt him as a son. The decision sparked a conflict between Anderson and his uncles who wanted to take him with them. They had threatened to sue Anderson for deciding to live with a stranger instead of relatives. Anderson knew Mr. James, unlike the uncles, was an honest and reliable person, who would do his best to help him achieve his dreams. However, two months after finishing high school studies, the hardware, which was Mr. James’s sole source of income, was destroyed by a fire that was caused by a faulty electric cable. Nonetheless, Anderson’s dream was not deterred. He solicited some money from Mr. Anderson and started a fruit vending business in an attempt to raise his university fees. He combined his earnings with the high education loans given by the government to fund his university studies. Despite facing numerous challenges, he eventually finished his course and today is a teacher in one of the private schools in California.
