Shape of a black woman (Tschabalala)
The contents of Tschabalala’s art are the black color of a woman. First is the balance of materials that she is using in creating her artwork. The remains of clothes and the unwanted fabrics make it so clear to distinguish the artwork’s elements. Different colors used to decorate a black woman, such as yellow fibers and materials, make it distinct and visible. The shape of the woman combined with the color creates a black woman’s real image worth the attractive features. On feeling the texture of the artwork, you can clearly distinguish and state the originality it has. The best distinguishing feature in Tschabalalas artwork of a black woman is the shape and the clothing color of the women she created. It embraces the real culture of a black woman; hence, one can understand a black woman’s lifestyle. Also, it establishes self-esteem for the black women who take pride in it.
The principles concerning Tschabalalas artwork is much balanced. It is more balanced in terms of vision since the colors used to paint the black woman are very clear, showing a black woman’s entire complexion. On clothes, the color used is apparent; it is a pink color that brings out a black woman’s preferences. There is a distinct line on the short that the black woman wears, the type of hair she is keeping. To be brief, Tschabalala did balance the colors well and hence the clear expression of her artwork. The lines between the complexion and the clothes are to move the viewer’s mind from one color to the other to create a clear distinction between the various colors made by the fabrics used in making the artwork. The rhymes in this work are shown by the balance of colors and symmetric patterns of the shapes in the black woman’s body. All the elements are used to connect.
The art background
An exact sky blue color in this work’s background rhymes well with the woman’s image. It brings a clear indication of the black woman, and the viewers can quickly create an appearance at the back of the mind. The color is attractive and appealing to the eye of the viewer. Also, the choice of background color helps to bring out the exact image of the black woman. It shows the real shape and how curvy the woman is more proud of the black women and the black culture as a whole.
Why I choose to try this assignment
For a long time, a black person has been undermined in most places. The current world is full of racism. There are many incidences where being black is like a mistake to nature and an offense to people. Tshabalala’s artwork gives hope to the black people since black women can have a chance of coming out and be proud of their color and even the attractive shape. The images show how a black woman represents beauty through her looks. It has also brought to light and acceptance of a black person’s culture, which proves to be a global culture and very attractive to many people. Briefly, this artwork indicates a free world in which everyone is given a chance to call any part of the world home.
What I have learned in this work
The artwork is an expression of an independent and free world. This work show has enabled me to see the complexion of people differently. It helps us to know that everyone has a right and should not criticize or hate each other. Compared to other ways of expressing our views, this is the best way to reach many people who have different ideas and interpretations concerning the images by Tschabalala.
