Day One
Arrive at the Londorossi Gate situated in the western breach of the mountain after a bumpy drive from Arusha or Moshi that typically takes three to four hours. Enjoy breathtaking views of the distant Mount Meru to the West and a closer look at the splendor of the Kibo Peak.
Relish a palatable meal for lunch upon arrival at the Shira 1 campsite. After lunch, a short excursion offering exquisite views of the awe-inspiring volcanic massif awaits. Undoubtedly, the exciting excursion is purposely meant to assist in the acclimatization of the climber to higher altitudes. Dinner will be served beneath the twinkling backdrop of stars fixated in the infinite arch of the sky.
