Case Assignment
Writing expectations include competency in the following:
- Sentence Structure
- Verb Tense and Agreement

- Thesis Statement & Conclusion
The Case Assignment for this course will be a 3-5-page essay (excluding cover page and references). Review the modules 1 – 4 topics and Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) addressed up to this point and use those to assist in writing your essay. You should use a minimum of 3-4 sources in your Case Assignment and at least 2 need to be from an academic database.
Assignment Instructions:
Write no more than one (1) page describing your department and the personnel associated with it. * ANY
Inform the CEO of the issues in the department and your proposed training and development plans to address the issues. At a minimum, your report should include the following:
- Plan to address the computer training needed for your employees since they have little or no automation skills. How will this improve efficiency in HR? What supportive evidence do you have? What costs are associated with the training/development?
- Discuss how you delegated the onboarding/orientation to one employee and discuss the training the employee will receive. How will the onboarding/orientation enhance effectiveness in the organization? What is the rationale for delegating the responsibility to one person? Provide any supportive evidence you have. Make sure you discuss any potential costs associated with the training.
- Provide the results of what you learned about pay for performance and inform the CEO how you think it is a good idea to delegate the task to another employee. In fact, you would like to create a Compensation Manager position within HR. Justify your rationale for this position and provide information regarding training and salary associated with this prospective position.
- Conclude your paper with a one (1)-paragraph summary that includes total costs associated with your strategic plan regarding training and development.
Guidelines for Essay:
Must be double-spaced with 1-inch margins and typed in 12-point Times New Roman.
Your Essay should have a Cover Page and a reference Page. Essays should be proofread for spelling and grammar mistakes.
Although not graded, APA is recommended.
You must cite all texts used, including page numbers to avoid plagiarism.
Your essay must have a thesis statement and conclusion that are both supported by background readings and your own external research
