Beauty and the Beast (2017 film) Cast
The Beauty and the Beast film is a romantic fantasy and a live-action Disney movie directed by Bill Condon and released in March 2017. Emma Watson and Dan Stevens are the eponymous characters in the film.
Emma Watson
Emma Watson plays the lovable and strong-willed Belle. Belle is a smart young woman who loves books; she is lively, bold, and full of spirit. Belle is a daughter to Maurice (Kevin Kline), she develops feelings for the Beast and begins to see him as human by loving him and make him love her back. Belle does not want to consider anything from Gaston (Luke Evans) because he is not a man of his dreams. This is because he is an arrogant soldier. Therefore she chooses Beast who develops humanity and who is a prince. Belle saved his father Maurice (Kevin Klein) from the Beasts castle and got locked up. The enchantress awards her a book gift. Belle is a book lover and begun reading the book which takes leaders where they want to be. Because the book takes readers where they want to be, she uses the book to take her to Paris, where she was brought up. She discovers a plague that killed her mother, thus forcing her and her father to leave. Gaston, the man, is eyeing her attacks the Beast but succumbs. Belle then confesses that she loves the Beast and her loving him transforms him back to a prince because he too learns to love. Belle and the Beast dance happily
Dan Stevens
Dan Stevens plays as a Beast and as the Prince after the transformation. He is the starring of the Beauty and the Beast. While playing as the Beast, he performs wearing a motion capture suit. The Beast is cruel, unkind, selfish, and cold-hearted, he transforms back to a Prince after earning humanity from being loved and him loving Belle. Stevens is a prince who turned to be a Beast because he is a son from a royal family, treating people like objects and does not believe in love. The Beast rescuing Belle from being attacked by wolves, was a sign of affection. Belle confessing that she loved him changed him back to humans because he learned the art of love, thus transforming back to the Prince.
Luke Evans
Luke Evans plays as Gaston. Gaston is an arrogant soldier from the French royal family. Gaston has a soft spot for Belle and eye on her. He is willing to take what it takes to have Belle as his wife. Gaston would also do anything to win her hand of marriage. After Gaston finding out that Belle loves the Beast, he gets very jealous and says that she has been charmed by dark magic. Gaston attacks the Beast in his tower, but he gets defeated and meets his death. Gaston and LeFou have a strong character, thus making him his sidekick.
Kevin Kline
Kevin Kline plays as Maurice; he is the father to Belle. Maurice is an inventor who is held against his will at the Beast’s castle. The Beast imprisons him for having a rose he plucked from his garden as a gift to his daughter Belle. Belle finds out that her father is locked at the Beasts castle and goes looking for him. Because Belle is a sage young woman, she pretends to give her father goodbye and locks herself in the palace, and thus Maurice gets released.

Josh Gad
Josh Gad plays as LeFou; he is Gaston’s sidekick who massages his friend’s ego and gets very little in return. He has an excellent relationship with Gaston.
Hattie Morahan
Hattie Morahan plays as Agathe; she is the enchantress who curses the Prince. She also poses as the beggar woman in the film who arrives at the castle during a ball. She also offers the cruel and unkind prince shelter.
Emma Thompson
Emma Thompson plays as Mrs Potts; she is the housekeeper who was turned into a tea keeper
Ewan McGregor
Ewan McGregor plays as Lumiere; he is the candlestick and the prince’s chef.
Consequently, from Emma Watson’s post, there is a possibility that a sequel will happen. Emma says that she would love to do a sequel because according to her, she always thought that Belle would become a better teacher and operate the library in the castle and in the village where she was headed.
