Beethoven Concerto for Violin and Orchestra
I listened to Beethoven Concerto for Violin and Orchestra performed by Hilary Hahn as the violinist and Leonard Slatkin as the conductor. The performance proved enjoyable because of the theme and the technique employed in communicating the message. At the commencement of the production, the performers observed a moment of silence to establish a connection with the audience before communicating the themes using the classical instruments. The composers then played the violin. The introduction of the brass and the flute followed later. After listening to the production, I learned that that Beethoven Concerto for Violin and Orchestra was on the theme of love and beauty.
The piece that I found interesting is the presentation is the violin that accords Beethoven Concerto for Violin and Orchestra its theme and tune. The performance stood out because of the creativity of the composer communicating messages of love to the audience. One derives entertainment besides learning from the composition. I enjoyed watching the instrumentation at the beginning of the presentation to the advanced stage of the composition. At first glance of the performers guided by Hilary Hahn and Leonard Slatkin, I could visualize the possibility of the two shifting the orchestration of the Beethoven Concerto for Violin and Orchestra because the two undertook different roles. However, they sought to synchronize the elements of the piece to communicate a common message.
The stylistic influence of Beethoven is a classical composition that defined production in a baroque style era where beauty and elegance defined composition. The orchestration technique that dominated the verse from 5:55 to 6:05 that has a conjunct. The break aided in expressing a theme of love and social relationships.
Slatkin performed duties as a conductor by ensuring that the instrumentation of the violin guided by Hillary Hann harmonizes with the theme of the presentation. The song has a slow tempo with a smooth texture that eased the contextualization of the synchrony of the violin with the piano. The music is engaging because of the emphasis created using the instruments. An example is a tonal emphasis that hints to the shift in the sounds of the instrument to create a different feel from the experience attained at the onset of the presentation. The venue typifies the environment of classical composition. The orderly positioning of the performers strumming the violin directly to the audience enhances the ambiance of the room. The costumes and the presentation of other elements at the stage contribute to formality.
I enjoyed the performance because of the variation in the movement that affirmed artists’ competence in classical composition. The first movement is long since it takes a few seconds to emit the sound but express divergent ideas on a common session. The entire presentation lasts 49 minutes but with episodes of movement that shifts less than 2 minutes. The rapid transition creates an effect of reverberating pitch proves that Slatkin is experienced in guiding concerto for a longer period even if the second for transition is short. His style is typical of a classical violinist. He has conducted numerous shows using the same technique that led to the recognition of Grammy. In Beethoven Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, the movement ends at a high pitch of the violinist preparing the audience for a shift in the tempo of the composition.
Lastly, the presentation has some flair and creativity that makes it enticing to watch. At first sight of the performers, one develops a connection with the ambiance before the expression of violin sounds that introduces the concerto. The subsequent elements of classical composition define the presentation that has some connection with the performance of baroque style in terms of style and selection of sentimental themes.
