Black activism is among the significant issue that has faced the American government for years. Many civil rights movements have come up to protest the violation of the right of the American people, which has caused the government to come to the limelight several times. Sharon et al. For years the African – American people have protested as they have often felt that they are denied quality life opportunities that include and not limited to housing, education, healthcare, and employment. In the era of slavery, black activism fought for equal social-political representation in the government and economic justice (Sharon et al., .2017). However, the quality of life among balance communities in us has not improved. The situation is worsened by racially driven local and federal policies that continue to be perpetuated by the American government. Sharon further claims that this kind of reform is creating SNES form of the Jim Crow era as presidential reforms on drugs and welfare reforms continue to elicit poverty and relative deprivation among the balk community in the USA.

Since both the politician and the black activism movements at fighting for public opinion, the two are likely to be in a perpetual rivalry.

Overall the development of black activism had a positive impact on the lives of African-American communities but has presented challenges for the American government. Black activism has achieved a significant level of equality, if not total equality. For example, education, healthcare, and housing have improved significantly. However, the improvement does not compare to the living standard that the white Americans experience. The emergence of black matter in the twenty-first century has further strengthened black activism. However, the problems that the black community faces currently are quite different from the changes that the community faced in the Jim-crow were to a certain extent. Various authors to recommend the need to use different strategies that coerce and pressure the government to pass the relevant laws that protect the black community.
