Brains Disorders

Our memories, personality, and sensation are much affected by damage to our brain. Brain disorders include disabilities or conditions such as traumatic injury, illness, and genetics that affect our brain. According to Pal (1), 16 percent of U.S. households, there is one member of the family with brain impairment, and also, there are 20 million U.S. citizens with a neuropathy condition. Brain disorders such as brain injury and brain tumor are caused by blunt trauma and can be diagnosed by a neurological specialist. In this context, the paper discusses brain disorders, their symptoms, their risks, causes, and diagnosis.

Brain injury affects communication between the brain and the whole body. Blunt trauma which damages brain nerves, tissues, and neurons cause brain injuries (Reed-Guy 1). Brain injuries include blood clots, strokes, hematomas, concussions, and bruising of brain tissue. The symptoms that indicate one is suffering from brain injuries are numbness, vomiting, memory loss, bleeding from the ear, speech difficulty, nausea, problems with concentration, and paralysis (Reed-Guy 1). This condition affects adults above 65 years, individuals between 15 and 25 years, and children under four years. Treatment for this disorder depends on the type of injury an individual has sustained, and it includes medication, brain surgery, or rehabilitation.

Brain tumor consists of a primary brain tumor and metastatic brain tumor. Primary brain tumor forms in the brain and is dangerous while the metastatic or secondary tumor is when cancer on different parts of the body reach the brain causing tumor (Reed-Guy 1). Symptoms for a brain tumor are vomiting, nausea, headaches, change in personality, seizures, changes in vision, speech, or hearing, numbness, and difficulty with balance or movement (Reed-Guy 1). This condition affects anybody considering their exposure to environmental risks and genetics. Treatment for these disorders depends on factors such as your age, overall health condition, and the size of the brain tumor. Radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery are the main treatments for this disorder.

Conclusively, brain injuries and brain tumor are examples of brain disorders, and injuries to the brain cause them. These disorders cause memory loss and hearing impairment to the individuals affected. Therapy, surgery, and rehabilitation can serve as treatment mechanisms for these disorders
