Burts Chips
The company, as it is now is doing well; however, a challenge exists mainly in matters of technological innovation. In order to advance and maintain competitiveness in the United Kingdom’s market and the rest of the world, Burts Chips will have to employ automation and other technological systems that increase productivity. The benefits of automation are numerous; for instance, the company will be able to improve the quality of its products. The predictability of quality will, in like manner, increase. Most importantly, the company will be able to increase its revenue because production will increase, and labour cost and other related expenses will reduce. The disadvantage of process automation, however, is that it will need constant monitoring, and it can be costly to maintain.
