Business, Environment, Ethics, and Strategies
Positive employee-employer relationship promotes the efficiency of employees as they put forth their best efforts. Consequently, positive relationships lead to higher employee productivity and organizational performance (Agarwal, 2016). Government policies are developed to promote a positive employer-employee relationship. The four perspectives of work and government policies include business growth, protection of the ecological environment, professional ethics, and business strategies. Ethical perspective in employment is the most important. Employment code of ethics requires employers and employees to act with a high level of integrity, and comply with existing laws and company policies in discharging their responsibilities. Complying with laws will extend to environment protection laws while company policies are likely to promote business growth and executing laid down business strategies.

The VRIO analysis of UCW has identified four types of non-core competencies. Even though multiple accredited is valuable, this element is common in the higher learning industry. However, partnerships, positive reputation, and student support are other non-core elements that are valuable and rare in most universities. However, these elements are easily imitable and organized by other higher learning institutions. Strategic location and students and employee inclusivity are other essential competency elements for the University. The core competences of UCW include a blend of online and on-campus programs, the high employment rate of UCW MBA students, and free workshops organized to promote personal branding and networking.

The introductory phase of industry is characterized by new product development and early marketing of products (Moretti, & Caro, 2017). For instance, ridesharing is a new industry still in the introduction phase. In this phase, the demand for products and services is unclear due to limited information on participants and products. For instance, despite hundreds of ridesharing service providers in Canada, very few are known to the market.
