CARE OF PERINEUM WOUND AND POST OPERATIONS

Perineum care is the process of meeting basic human needs (biological, psychological, social and spiritual) in the range of illness to health (Aziz, 2004). Perineum is an area between the thighs that is bounded by the vulva and anus (Danis, 2000). Perineal care is the fulfillment of the need to nourish the area between the vulva and anal thighs restricted to the mother who is in the period between the birth of the placenta until the return of genetic organs such as before pregnancy. Caring for wounds is an attempt to prevent trauma (injury) to the skin, mucous membranes or other tissue caused by trauma, fractures, surgical wounds that can damage the surface of the skin (Ismail, 2012). Perineal tears occur in almost all first deliveries and not infrequently in subsequent deliveries. These tears can be avoided or reduced by keeping the pelvic floor from being passed by the fetal head quickly. Perineal tears generally occur in the middle line and can become wider if the fetal head is born too fast, the angle of the pubic arcus is smaller than normal so that the fetal head is forced to be born more backward and usually, the fetal head passes through the lower pelvic door with a size larger than the circumcircum suboksipito -bregmatika. There are actually several levels of tears in the perineal wound, namely stitches in the first stage of birth canal stitches, which are stitches that only bring together the torn outer skin, then the following stitches in the second stage of the birth canal, which unites skin and muscle tissue (these are the ones most often), and finally the stitch that joins the level III tear in the birth canal that tears to the rectum. Postoperative care is a treatment performed by health workers after the action as a follow-up. Meanwhile Operation Injury is a wound caused due to surgery. so that the wound is usually not open. For this condition the wound is in a clean wound condition so what must be emphasized is the next wound care must also maintain its cleanliness / sterility, because it is an important thing that must be considered that the wound heals immediately.
