Case 34 Analysis
Case 34 features the panelist discussion of the film black panther. The various panelists bring up their views concerning the themes the film evokes in them and the specific feelings and thoughts that they get after watching the movie. Cianne follows all these presentations with keen interest. Each of the panelists presents a different idea from what Cianne had ever thought of. The various people show their different views concerning this film and the impact of the movie. They go ahead to compare the actors of the black panther with those of the black America setup that has earlier featured in the works of art (Siobhan et al., n.d). The people come to the extent of analyzing the roles of each of the various actors in pan Africanism.
The fascinating ideas in the panelist presentations include the loss of African masculinity, the torture, and abuse that the blacks have been going through in the United States of America and the other parts of the world. As a result of the various experiences of these key players, the people are forced to rebel. The impact of family on the life of the people is also inherent. Parents are charged with the responsibility to bring up children the way they want them to gro. Depending on the upbringing of the actors, their actions and their future are hugely impacted. Last and not least is the role of religion (Siobhan et al., n.d). The various key actors consult the spirits of their parents and their ancestors to seek guidance. It is this guidance that they follow to define their destinies and to get to where they have wished for.
Essay 4: Article Analysis
The article I chose to analyze is an article by Courtney Smith-Kimble titled the Realities of Sexual Assault on Campus. The report digs into the facts on the topic and presents them as they are on the ground. It is evident that the cases are real, and they surround every college student. The freshmen are at higher risk of these instances since they have just stepped into the world of freedom. Everyone is introduced to a different world of experiences. It is also clear that they become surrounded by sex predators once they get into the universities. The issue affects both males and females, as the research indicated (Courtney, 2020). The article clarifies the facts behind the assaults and gets to explain some of the myths surrounding the entire story and reasons as to why the cases are never reported.
The first reason is gender differences. Males and females take the cases differently. Males are afraid of reporting the cases to the authorities as a result of very many other reasons. The first one is the cultural implications of the entire situation. The whole issue is stigmatized, and thus they are afraid that they could be stigmatized more for reporting such. The females, on the other hand, take it personally and fear to report the cases (Courtney, 2020). Last but not least, the cultural implications of the entire situation is the fact that men are superior, and very few would believe the fact that they were sexually harassed. All these are as a result of bias in the external world that prevent them from reporting.
