Maimonides Maimonides is a primitive Jewish philosopher who had a considerable influence on the thought of the Jewish people, and also on philosophy. HE also played a significant role in codifying the Jewish law, and his writings and views hold a bulbous role in the history of Jewish intellectual. Maimonides’ work resulted in considerable controversy, most notably concerning relations existing between revelation and reason.
