CAUSES
Congenital Cerebral Palsy is caused by different factors, all of which happen before or during childbirth. When a child is born with a low weight of about 5.5 pounds or less, a child may be at risk of infection.
Other causes of this disorder are premature birth, maternal infections, or complications during childbirth.
SYMPTOMS
A person who has a cerebral palsy lacks control of their muscles. They have limited coordination, which is usually more severe when stressed. Lack of control may result in dragging one leg while walking. Their eating, breathing, and swallowing are affected because of reduced brain communication with the nerves. Cerebral Palsy also increases the risk of ADHD. They may tend to overreact; therefore, a physician should examine and begin treatment of these problems soonest.

The confirmation of is now through a series of tests like blood tests, MRI scans, CT scans, and medical observations. An ultrasound can assist the doctor in seeing the image of the brain. Children with this disorder develop speech, visual, hearing, and bladder problems.
TREATMENT

Physical and personal therapy can help improve movements and everyday skills, such as eating and social interactions. Some medications given are to help control disabilities. Such drugs are antispastic, antidepressants, and anti-inflammatory. While injuries may often cause Cerebral Palsy during birth due to negligent medical assistance, there are preventive measures. You should follow basic instructions during pregnancy, such as walking, eating nutritiously, and abstaining from drugs and alcohol to help protect your child from cerebral palsy.
