Christopher Mccandless a Journey into the Wild
The effect of adventure can affect one’s life positively or negatively. This is because one may adapt to other people’s life, forgetting his own experience as Cristopher did. The purpose of adventure should be to acquire more information hence increasing our level of knowledge. Through adventure, one can find out why o some people behave the way they behave? Why do they carry out their activities using a particular method, or why do they believe in what they believe in? Through this, one will be able to concentrate on what he or she admires in his life and work towards achieving his dreams. Christopher adapts the kind of life that the authors he admires advocated without searching out what caused them to support some lifestyle. One advocates for a life of poverty while another one advocates for a simpler life in the wilderness. Should one leave his own culture and adapt the one other people advocates? Therefore, through adventure, one can improve his experience by adding the ideas he acquires to the ideas he has.
Christopher chooses to live a simpler life in the wilderness. He gives out all he had to live a miserable life without concentrating on wealth. Despite the influence he caused to the presence of others, he did not focus on his own life. He tries to adapt to what other people say and thinks it’s right. He ends up being a beggar. He is living in other people’s houses, and in the end, he is dying due to starvation. Therefore, the adventure should be to improve what one has and knows but not despise what one knows is right and adapting to others.
