CLOUD COMPUTING
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services that include servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence over the internet to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. Cloud computing also eliminates the capital expense of buying hardware and software and setting up and running on-site datacenters-electricity for power and cooling. Cloud computing services are usually self-service and on-demand. This makes computing resources provisioned in minutes, giving firms a lot of flexibility and taking the pressure off capacity planning. Cloud computing removes the need for many tasks like racking and stacking in hardware setup. The most effective cloud computing services run on a worldwide network of secure data centers upgraded to the latest generation. There are different types of cloud computing which include public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud. The purpose of this article is to enlighten readers on the importance of cloud computing.
In my own opinion, this article attributes to the excellent knowledge of cloud computing, of which I agree with several points. One of the projections includes, test and build applications. This reduces application development cost and time by using cloud infrastructures. Store, back up, and recover data. This protects data more cost-efficiently and at a massive scale—lastly, data analysis unifies data across teams, divisions, and locations in the cloud.
Cloud computing and web browser may be similar. Still, the only difference is those cloud applications are essentially a platform that provides a particular service. In contrast, web applications are essential services that can be accessed over the internet from anywhere on any device. Cloud computing affects the use of emails, software, and hardware applications in that services such as Gmail have linked the cloud and email. When a user attaches a file larger than 25 MB Google prompts the user to upload the file to its drive cloud service. Cloud computing has changed how we work with Microsoft office products. This is because your office can be anywhere there is an internet connection. Through the cloud, employees can access company files and documents that they could have traditionally have to go to the office to get. With SaaS as a cloud service type, it hosts and manages the software application and underlying infrastructure and handles any maintenance like software upgrades and security patching.
