Computer Networking and Related Issues
Networking is an essential aspect in the modern world in terms of technology has it has played a significant role in ensuring the sharing of information between various groups of people. As per Dordal (2020), computer networking is simply a set of several computers that are interconnected together to share vital resources among a group of individuals in the same network. In this case, machines are the communicating points and are the ones that are involved in the sharing of data between several systems. Furthermore, computer networking enables information sharing and communication through the process of file sharing. Actually, without computer networks in place, it would be impossible to share data and communicate through computers. Hence, networking is a vital element that offers and allows sharing of information in almost every sector, for example, in education, business organizations, hospital setups, research laboratories, among others (Dordal, 2020).
Moreover, all networking data consists and utilizes what is referred to as nodes. Usually, the nodes refer to any devices or computers which incorporate the same links and the networks or merely the physical connection that exists and carry information linking the various machines in the same system. Therefore, the nodes are what links computers that exist in the same network and share a standard interface. Computer networking enables fast, reliable, and accessible data sharing among the vast number of people (Dordal, 2020). However, computer networking can be faced with some challenges from time to time, depending on the computer systems involved in networking. Computer networking problems can be disastrous, leading to gr inconvenience in operations of various activities, for example, in business organizations or institutions of learning.
Accessing a particular network could be destructive sometimes. For example, I was once faced with the difficult problem of networking while trying to access an online portal. Since I was running out of time, I needed to access the network as soon as possible to meet the speculated due date, as I was only left with less than 15 minutes. However, I encountered an issue with slow connectivity due to significant bandwidth usage. Usually, each network contains an open system interconnection (OSI), which determines and explains how data are transferred and received (Dordal, 2020). OSI is further subdivided into seven layers, each with a specific task, as shown in the table below. The top four layers are concerned with the software application, while the bottom three layers are related to the end-user.

In my case, I latter determine the issue to be due to poor network, which slowed the process of accessing the system. The reduced network, also referred to as performance degradation, as a result of poor configuration and prevented fast access to the portal resulting in time waste. Finally, I managed to resolve the issue after trying various processes, such as adequately checking the network settings and server configuration. Typically, issues related to a weak network can be addressed adequately through the proper and right shape to ensure the system is operating without any cases of default. Moreover, the adequate configuration provides access flexibility, improvement of storage, and increasing the overall performance of a specific network and enabling debugging (Dordal, 2020). Expanding a network would mean an improvement in efficiency in the network connectivity in the process, increasing the efficiency of network access.
