I am a highly motivated and hardworking individual experienced with OAF products. My love for working with smallholder farmers and sharing knowledge about best farming choices has led my decision to work in an organization that shares the same dreams. A position as One Acre Fund’s Rural Retail Expansion Assistant provides yet another opportunity to continue serving farmers by ensuring farm inputs are close to their reach.

My experience in fieldwork, having engaged in different field work related activities at KFS, KEFRI, and ICIPE and currently OAF gives me a better chance to execute functions designed for this position. Also, my exposure on social, economic and political aspects of a project about project development is sufficient in making decision regarding establishing an investment.

Besides, my ability to communicate and relate with different individuals has made me to prosper in various aspects of life. Previously, I have interacted with different activities at leadership level, first at the University of Kabianga where I served as a Christian Union Chairperson and much of my work involved organizing outreach programs in various parts of the country. While at KFS I spearheaded a project of rehabilitating Machakus forest which involved bringing together various stakeholders and obtaining a permission to undertake the project. These leadership experiences taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, staying passionate, and motivation to persevere.

With understanding the vision and mission of OAF, I will be happy if I can make a contribution, no matter how small, towards helping OAF to achieve its dream. The organization is committed to uplift the lives of the smallholder farmers by ensuring various inputs are close to their reach. Perhaps this is the reason that makes me desire to stay and work at OAF.
