How is the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the economy? The main question for this survey to be answered accompanied by other related issues. The topic of the study was “Daily small scale business interactions.” The primary method used is qualitative analysis, whereby a questionnaire document containing the same information was shared with different people. The survey was conducted via email and social media platforms due to the current pandemic that forced people to remain at home. By the use of Google forms, an approximate of 100 questioners were designed and shared. Also, an agreement of conditions was included in the first page for clarity for beginning the survey. Also, the involved person’s information was kept secret for privacy policies.
The respondents had to click on the acceptance button to accept and begin answering the survey. The objectives of the survey were indicated on the first page to encourage participants to contribute honestly towards answering the questioners. The study had fifteen questions estimated to take one to two minutes in answering. Top questions were related to business performances.

Introduction
Based on the Covid-19 pandemic, research conducted to investigate the current performance of the business. The survey was conducted through questioners that were directed to most businessmen and women while also the consumers were included. From the answers, possible issues were obtained for analysis to find relevant measures that could resolve the problem. A sample of 100 similar forms shared to 100 individuals with each receiving one file and only 78 persons responded and completed and the survey.
Analysis
A significant number of the total targeted individuals for the survey responded correctly. Only twenty-two percent failed to return to the survey, of which most were men. The possible reason observed is that they did not find the study relevant to solving their problems. Another reason is that most men were too busy attending to their customers hence lacking time to answer the survey. Some were unable to read and understand the questioners, thus forwarding them to their learned children for the response. Likewise, from the few women who did not answer the survey, they were ignorant to respond to emails and phone calls. However, the review was successful by getting a response of more than seventy-five percent.
An estimate of seventy-eight percent of individuals claimed that the market is currently underperforming. Most of the complaints were related to social distancing and the lockdown policy from the government. Also, insufficient protective equipment’s like face marks, face shields, sanitizers accompanied by sufficient water, contributed to the fear of infection to customers. Most businesses depend on one another; for example, whole-sellers, manufacturing companies, and retailers related. Therefore, the closure of one of the business would affect the rest of the business negatively. Due to such issues, most of the activities that were open in the market seemed to strain in receiving supplies, and hence they had to hike the prices for commodities. Some other entrepreneurs explained further how high prices scare away potential customers, reducing the sales and revenue made per day. Based on these issues, more than 60% of the response was a clear indication of the pandemic severely affecting small businesses.
However, an average of 50% of the sampled business community indicated that despite all arising problems, they were comfortable to continue running their businesses. The dominant gender proposing this case were females. They explained that a good business could grow in both good and bad times; hence the pandemic is a threat to their health and not the business. The possibility of finding at least one-third of the daily customers is sufficient in acquiring the necessary small capital for the business continuity. Therefore, expecting to less from the market during the current pandemic will help in the reduction of stress and anxiety related to business failure. Nonetheless, more than 12% percent were well equipped financially to support their business in terms of expenditures like Corvid-19 protective gear, transport, profit loss, and rental payments. From this response, an assumption could be made that 12% of the small business are not severely affected.
Also, 90% of the potential customers declared that they were delighted with the easiness of accessing small businesses for purchases. Most of the consumers from the streets were unable to purchase goods in bulk due to their low income. Hence, they had to rely on small businesses for their daily necessities. Also, closure of some related businesses would result in many problems piling up to Covid-19 associated issues. More reasons reported are that businesses are crucial for the hope of life after the pandemic. It would be terrible for the economy to continue falling at this state and would strain to return to the normal conditions. What most people ignored in such a response is the health of the various individuals working in these businesses. But the businesses would be affected little if they were to consider all the measures given by the government.
Moreover, customers are afraid of visiting the market since such venues where the hotspots of coronavirus infection. Therefore affecting the small businesses severely with discouragement and disappointments. Nonetheless, Young kids were prohibited from shopping in such areas contributing to a significant of the total number of customers. Some positive comments from the survey supported that the pandemic has also brought some positive impact on the business. Despite more than 70% of the total response relaying on the negative side, 30% openly gave the definite reason for how the markets have upgraded. They reasoned that most businesses were not equipped with emergency tools, and hygiene was not maintained. But with the emergence of Covid-19, most business operators have taken a crucial step towards upgrading their businesses to meet the necessary requirements of a successful business. If all the operators would continue implementing such measures even after the pandemic, then the economy would persevere despite any challenges.
Six people left the questioners uncompleted due to confusion and unappropriated answers. A possible reason is that they saw the questionnaire too long, or they did not find the survey relevant to their daily activities. Such behaviors were expected from some people, and therefore I arranged important questions were to be on the first page. I also made it clear that it was a survey related to business and the pandemic, and by agreeing to continue, one should answer all the questions where applicable. Still, some individuals had to break such rules hence affecting my survey accuracy. Regardless of informing the importance of this survey, the objectives of the research met though a significant response from a group of 72 persons. Therefore, concluding that the covid-19 pandemic has brought great damage to the unprepared small businesses accompanied lifetime lessons.
Overall
Some business operators reported that the performance of the marker was performing more than enough, while more than one third complained. Also, some entrepreneurs suggested that despite the pandemic affecting the business severely, it also strengthened some previously weak businesses. The coronavirus is significant for rehabilitating some activities that do not meet various standards, such as maintaining hygiene.
Recommendations
A customer requested that we need to maintain and keep our businesses going despite the pandemic. Also, maintaining hygiene and adhering to all protocols measures set by the government is essential. Likewise, the customers should not fear shopping from small businesses as long as they obey the containment policy for Covid-19. Another person suggested that employees should be trained on how to respond to coronavirus related issues, and people should avoid using the money for payments. Instead, mobile transactions and bank transactions are the most efficient method of purchasing goods from the market to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Another suggestion was that most businesses should migrate to online platforms for them to continue serving citizens and to avoid closure. Therefore, based on such a response, I suggest that if we increase the level of hygiene and use the necessary equipment of protection against the Covid-19, then most businesses would be affected typically and not extremely.
