Critical Novel Analysis on ″The Lovely Bones″
Critical Novel Analysis Often, we may find ourselves wondering why an author created a character who is poor instead of wealthy, female instead of male, insane instead of sane, and so on. In order to explore the reasons for these choices, we must view works through a variety of critical perspectives. For example, we may choose to analyze “The Cask of Amontillado” through a psychoanalytic perspective, focusing on Montresor’s motivations and behaviors. In your first essay, you mastered responding to a text; your second essay required you to closely read and analyze poetry to complete an explication; your third instructed you to use secondary sources while analyzing a variety of genre works; for your final assignment, you’ll need to put all of these skills to the test and write a 1500 word essay analyzing ″The Lovely Bones″ by Alice Sebold through a critical lens.
