Taking this course has been so far amongst the best-informing venture I found myself in, little did I know that decision making was a skill to be learned,  being an enthusiastic leader, the course has advanced my thinking and changed the way I would view issues at the leadership realm, I feel like the quality of decisions I would make right now would be more logic and sensical as compared to if I had to make a similar decision having not taken the course. With familiarization to Vroom-yetton model, I have widened the scope of knowledge in decision making, well informed by the problem at hand and a more specific tool to digest the problem presented in any organization.

Analytical concept of decision making can be listed as one of the concepts have learned in this course, a concept which involves in-depth scrutiny and comparison to see which option suits him/her for the matter at hand, the merit of the options available carries the weight and determines the final choice a leader would pursue, one advantage of this concept over the rest is that facts and figures are well laid out for comparison reasons to ensure a data-guided decision void of emotional influence. Given enough tie in the y leadership sphere, I would always use the analytical concept to dissect the available information to have a well-informed decision at the end of the day.

The other concept which would love to practice in my career would be directive concept style, whereas the leader, I value structure. A motivated by the results of the decision I made, however quick they are. Regardless of whether the results are positive or negative, they would react depending on the results of y previous decisions and choose an appropriate measure to ensure the company’s progress.

As a leader, decision-making styles are a vital tool and would be a great determinant of the company growth; therefore the leaders should adopt the beast decision-making styles that suit the growth of the organizations they lead.
